  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise

  • 1 small shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of capers (optional)
  • 4 slices of whole grain or sandwich bread
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Juice of half a lemon

Instructions:


 

  1. Prepare the tuna filling: Drain the tuna and crumble it into a bowl. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped shallot, capers, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  2. Season: Add salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the lemon or mustard for more flavor if needed.
  3. Assemble the sandwich: Take one slice of bread and spread a generous layer of the tuna mixture. Add lettuce leaves for crunch.
  4. Close and serve: Place another slice of bread on top. Repeat the process for the second sandwich. Cut each sandwich in half if desired.
